The objective was to design an MVP that consolidates multiple bank accounts into a single, intuitive view — accessible to users with any financial background. The focus was on delivering essential features quickly, while laying the foundation for future scalability.
My role
As the UX/UI designer, I was responsible for structuring the user flows, designing dashboards, and creating a design system that supported both the MVP release and future iterations.
Approach
I prioritized clarity and usability, ensuring the interface felt simple despite the complexity of financial data. This meant balancing minimalism with enough detail to serve as a live demo of Finbricks’ broader capabilities.

Challenge
One of the main challenges was visualizing complex financial data from multiple bank accounts in a way that felt both clear and approachable. Users needed to see balances, currencies, and transaction types without being overwhelmed.
The application needed to display information from multiple bank accounts, with varying currencies and transaction types, while ensuring the user interface remained intuitive. Balancing clarity and simplicity with the complexity of the data required careful consideration to make sure users could easily navigate and interpret the information without feeling overwhelmed.

Solution
To solve the challenge of visualizing complex financial data, I designed a clean and organized layout that presents key information at a glance. The goal was to make account balances and transaction trends understandable without overwhelming the user.
For handling multiple currencies, I implemented a flexible system that allows users to toggle between different currencies while maintaining clarity in the data. To enhance the user experience, I designed interactive components that enable easy filtering and sorting of transactions, allowing users to personalize their view based on specific needs, such as transaction types or date ranges.

Overview
Dashboard is divided into various components, each providing a specific data view. There are two types of components: Fixed Components and Movable Components.
Fixed Components are always visible on the page and their order cannot be changed. Movable Components allow users to hide or rearrange them on the page. This balance between consistency and flexibility allowed the dashboard to meet both business requirements (showing key financial data at all times) and user needs (customizing the view to reduce cognitive load).

Conclusion
The MVP successfully demonstrated how complex financial data could be simplified into a clear, user-friendly experience. It provided Finbricks with a working product that not only addressed immediate user needs, but also showcased the company’s capabilities to future clients.
The solution set a strong foundation for further development — scalable design patterns, reusable components, and a consistent visualization system that could support upcoming features.
This project reinforced the value of putting clarity first when designing for complex domains. By focusing on simplicity and consistency, I learned how to make intricate financial data both accessible for users and strategically valuable for the business.
